CoDoc Personal and CoDoc Practice
Last updated: 7 September 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how CoDoc Sleep Inc. (“CoDoc”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use:
Contact: hello@codoc.care
CoDoc is a sleep and longevity companion. It is not a medical device and is not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. CoDoc Sleep Inc. is not a HIPAA covered entity for this product.
1. Information we collect
Account and profile
- Email address and authentication credentials
- Name or display name (you may enter this, or optionally allow the app to read your contact card once to pre-fill your name)
- App settings and preferences
Information you enter
- Sleep and health questionnaires (including sleep history, RLS / restless legs, anamnesis, and related answers)
- Sleep diary entries
- Other notes or answers you type in the app
Health and fitness data from Apple Health (HealthKit), only if you grant permission
We may read:
- Sleep (in bed, asleep, awake, deep, light, REM)
- Heart rate and resting heart rate
- Blood oxygen
- Blood pressure
- Height, weight, BMI
- Steps, active energy, exercise time
We may write sleep-related data back to Apple Health if you allow Health updates, so your information can stay in sync on your device.
Device permissions you can grant or refuse

- Microphone (optional), to analyze snoring. Audio is processed on the device; we do not upload sound recordings
- Bluetooth, if you connect a compatible sleep sensor
- Notifications, if you enable them
Technical and diagnostic data
- App version, device type, operating system
- Crash and error reports via Sentry (this may include identifiers needed to debug a crash)
We do not use advertising SDKs and we do not sell your data.
2. Apple Health (HealthKit) — required disclosures
We use HealthKit only for health and fitness purposes: sleep tracking, showing you your patterns, and (if you choose) sharing relevant summaries with a clinician who uses CoDoc Practice.
We do not:
- use HealthKit data for advertising, marketing, or data mining
- sell HealthKit data to advertising platforms, data brokers, or information resellers
- share HealthKit data with a third party without your permission
- store personal health information in iCloud
Apple Health data remains in Apple Health on your device. Deleting your CoDoc account does not delete data from the Apple Health app. You can revoke Health access at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Health → CoDoc Personal.
3. How we use information
- Create and maintain your account
- Show sleep and health insights in the app
- Save questionnaire answers and sleep-related records so they persist across sessions
- If you are connected to a clinician on CoDoc Practice, share the information you choose to share with that clinician
- Operate, secure, and debug the service
- Respond to support requests at hello@codoc.care
- Meet legal and App Store requirements
4. How we share information
We share information only as follows:
- Service providers that host or process data for us, under contract:
- Supabase (account, database, storage)
- Sentry (crash and error reporting)
- Apple (App Store, device services, HealthKit on your device)
- Your clinician, only if you use CoDoc Practice sharing
- Legal authorities, if required by law
- A successor, if CoDoc is involved in a merger or sale, under this same policy
We do not sell personal information. We do not share data with third parties for their own advertising.
5. Where data is stored
Account and app records are stored on our backend (Supabase). Health values we import for the product may be stored there as structured records (for example sleep summaries and related data points), not only on the phone.
Transmission uses HTTPS. Access in our database is restricted so a user can access only their own records, unless they have chosen to share with a clinician.
6. Retention
We keep your account and related records while your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete or de-identify associated CoDoc records. Backups may persist for a limited time, then are removed in the normal backup cycle.
Apple Health data on your device is retained according to Apple’s and your device settings, not this policy.
7. Your choices and rights
You can:
- refuse or withdraw HealthKit, microphone, Bluetooth, motion, or contacts permission in iOS Settings
- request a copy of your CoDoc data by emailing hello@codoc.care
- delete your account and associated CoDoc data from Settings in the app, or by emailing hello@codoc.care
If you are in the EEA, UK, or Switzerland, you also have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to certain processing, and to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. To exercise these rights, email hello@codoc.care.
8. Children
CoDoc is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
9. Changes
We may update this policy. The “Last updated” date will change. The current version will always be at https://codoc.care/privacy.
